炭窯を設置した北新地の洋食屋さんのデザイン。
ここで提供される料理と同じように石や木、色など素材のもつ自然な力(陰影)を生かして奥行きのあるやさしい光が全体に包まれる空間としました。それらを感じでもらえる様に過剰な表現は抑え、シンプルなレイアウト、空間構成、ディテールとすることでダイレクトに素材の良さが伝わるように心がけました。

The design of a Western-style restaurant in Kitashinchi with a charcoal kiln. Here, as with the dishes provided, we made use of the natural power (shading) of the stones, trees, colors, and materials to create a gentle light with depth and a space wrapped around the whole. I tried to avoid excessive expression so that I could feel them, and to use simple layout, spatial composition, and detail so that I could convey the goodness of the material to the direct.
